August 2023 Emergency Medical Technician Tues- Thurs

This emergency medical technician course is unique and considered a blended hybrid course. It is designed to prepare the candidate to take the NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams with the flexibility of learning. It combines online classroom lectures, as well as in-person lab and field internships at various locations in Montgomery County, PA.
Every Monday of each week starting at 8:00 am, all online course assignments open with access to instructor recorded lectures, video content, pre and post quizzes and module exams. Students have 24 hour access and work at their own pace throughout the week. At the end of the week on Sunday at 11:55 pm, all of the weekly assignments will close. This course meets every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. for mandatory "in person" sessions, as well as occasional weekends. This allows the student to practice with equipment and hone their skills. The location of this course for "in person" sessions will be held in the Harleysville area which will be announced based on enrollment.
Students who have successfully completed the didactic and clinical components of this program will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Exam. Each student is responsible to provide personal health insurance and a photo ID at the start of the program as well as a current Pa. State Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance within one year of class registration. Student shirt, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, penlight and student liability insurance included in cost of class. Book not included.
